Paul Jewett (Bradford, VT) Rides For Cancer Research
To All my Friends, I am writing to you to ask for your support for a very good cause to raise funds for cancer research at the Norris cotton Cancer center in Hanover, NH. This will be the 8th year that I have ridden my bike in the Prouty and it is not getting any easier! My goal is to raise $1500.00 individually and the total commitment is two and a half million! I would sincerely appreciate anything that you can do!
If you are interested, you can either send me a check made out to the Norris Cotton Cancer Center or you can go online to the prouty.org and go to my individual page under my name and pledge there.Prouty Webpage
The ride will be on Saturday July 11, 2009 and I would appreciate it if you could get your pledges/donations to me or online by 7/1/2009. Thanks so much for considering this great cause. I hope to ride 100 miles again this year.
Paul

Dear League Family: I am saddened to inform you all that Dixie Bentley's Dad, Elmer Miller, has died after a brief illness. Fortunately, Dixie was able to spend these past few days at her Dad's side. I returned from the Iowa Branch's 100th Anniversary Convention last evening, where Dixie was announced as Iowa Postmaster of the Year. Talk about mixed emotions! Dixie was unable to attend the convention at all, as her Dad's condition was deteriorating. Many of you might recall that Dixie only lost her Mom just over two months ago. I have posted a link of her Dad's obituary below. Please keep Dixie and her family in your prayers, as they continue to deal with this family loss.
God bless, Jim

Dear Leaguers: I have learned that MT RLP President, Alice McClure, has passed away. Alice was a great Leaguer and a fine lady. I encourage you to join together to give thanks to the Lord for her life here on earth. There is a website for the funeral home included with the attached obituary. "The Lord giveth. The Lord hath taken away. Blessed be the name of the Lord." Jim Obituary - Alice McClure, Wise River, MT Peggy Arthurs (Pleasantville, OH) Promotes Letter Writing With "Project Real Mail".
